On Friday, September 19th, the Lake Central Band Boosters will pull the winning ticket for our 5th Annual 'Take the Car or Take the Cash' car raffle. We are making 3,500 tickets available for this raffle, we need to sell 2,800 to make the car available. If we sell that amount you can take the car or take $10,000 in cash! If we don't sell at least 2,800 tickets then it is a 50/50 cash raffle for up to $10,000!

Great odds and you'd be helping nearly 300 band students in the Lake Central Bands Program. These students are leaders in their community and bring many accolades to Northwest Indiana with their performances. To learn more about how you can purchase your raffle ticket and to learn a little more about the students here.

You can make your purchase directly through PayPal. Once you've completed your purchase of raffle tickets we'll mail them directly to the address you supply. It's that easy!

2008 Ford Mustang Car RaffleIt's that time of year again where the marching band students are asked to sell tickets for our Annual Car Raffle. 2008 is no different as we will once again be raffling off a 2008 Ford Mustang.

Mr. and Mrs. Tom O'Donnell will once again don the suit of Co-Chairpersons for this event. The Car Raffle is one of our largest and most important fundraisers.

It is the responsibility of each student to sell 10 tickets in order for the fund-raiser to be successful. The best time to do this is now, before band camp begins. If you're student has not take care of this please encourage them to do so right away. Once band camp begins it will be very difficult for them to do their part.

You are hearing correctly, Spiritwear for this years show called Absence has arrived and you can now purchase it online! There are many different products available and more will be added over time so visit the store to see what is available.

If you order quickly you should receive your order prior to the Whiting and Munster Parades. While we cannot guarantee it, you might get it for the Dyer parade if you expedite your order with overnight shipping.

The spiritwear is produced by CafePress, if you're not satisified with your order you should follow CafePress instructions for returning merchandise. The Booster organization does not do this. You can pay for your merchandise using your credit card simply and easily through the website. If for some reason you don't want to make your purchase that way, send an email to your shopkeeper and he'll explain how your order can be filled.

On Friday, August 15th the Lake Central Band Boosters held it's 1st Annual Music is Important’ Golf Outing. The proceeds from the event go to the Lake Central Band Program at Lake Central High School.

A terrific time was had by 60 golfers as Whitehawk Country Club in Crown Point provided a simply beautiful venue at which the golfers were able to enjoy a day of beautiful weather, beautiful course and some terrific golf.

The day started out with the golfers signing in and then enjoying an unbelievably tasty lunch provided by Jeff Seapan (daughter - Brittney). Thank you Jeff! After lunch the golfers hit the course for a day of golf.

A BIG THANK YOU GOES OUT TO RON AND BEV FOLTMAN FOR ORGANIZING THIS TERRIFIC EVENT AND TO WHITEHAWK COUNTRY CLUB, CRETE HARLEY DAVIDSON, SCHEPEL BUICK AND ONMI 41 FOR PROVIDING EXCITING PRIZES FOR A HOLE-IN-ONE AND ALL OF OUR SPONSORS AND VOLUNTEERS.

 

Carsons Community DayA new IBA Fundraiser has been developed that will help you offset some of your band costs simply and easily. The event is called 'Carson's Community Day' and it is as simple, if not more so, than Discount Cards. In this IBA Fundraiser you put 100% of your effort directly into your IBA.

Here's how it works. All you have to do is sell a Carson's coupon book, it contains the following:

  • (1) $10 off Coupon
  • (4) 20% off Coupons

Each coupon book costs $5.00 and the book can be used on November 15th at any one of eight stores in the Carson family of stores. The beauty of this is that it is a 100% you keep fundraiser.
